Bhubaneswar: Odisha Crime Branch personnel, who are investigating the alleged custodial assault on an Army Officer and his fiancée at the Bharatpur police station in Bhubaneswar on September 15, reached the police station with the victims and created the crime scene using Ferro Camera on Wednesday morning.
The team is engaged in recreating the crime scene to gather further evidence and clarify details of the assault.
The officials also visited Pathargadia on Chandaka Road, where the couple allegedly had a scuffle with some students late on September 14, following which they had approached police to lodge a road rage complaint, leading to the alleged custody torture of the duo.
According to sources, the victim and the suspended police officials are likely to be subjected to a lie-detection test. The Crime Branch has sought permission from the court to conduct the lie detection tests after the victim agreed with the investigators’ proposal.
Meanwhile, Dinakrushna Mishra, former IIC of the police station, today gave his consent in the court of SDJM here to undergo polygraph, narco-analysis and brain-mapping tests.
