Cuttack: The Cuttack Commissionerate Police have arrested four youths involved in multiple criminal cases, including robbery, based on technical evidence.
The accused individuals were found in possession of brown sugar, among other items. Investigation revealed their involvement in robbery cases in areas under the jurisdiction of CDA, Daragha Bazar, and Cantonment police stations.
During the arrest, the police seized a mobile phone, Rs 14,000 in cash, and a bike. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the buyers of stolen gold, according to Cuttack DCP Rishikesh Khilari Dhyandeo. The accused hail from Nayagarh and Markat Nagar in Cuttack. The vehicle used in the crimes has also been seized.
The arrest was made possible through the analysis of CCTV footage and other technical evidence by a special squad and a team from the Cantonment Police station. One of the accused from Nayagarh was found with approximately 7 grams of brown sugar, leading to a separate case under the NDPS Act.
