Bhubaneswar: AMNEX, an organization leveraging artificial intelligence to analyze agriculture-based geographical data, has come forward to provide farmers with advance information. Representatives of the organization made a presentation to Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, at the conference hall of Lok Seva Bhawan today.
To further strengthen the agricultural sector, the use of advanced technical expertise is essential. Artificial intelligence makes it easier to access accurate data promptly.
Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo stated, “Farmers, the backbone of our country, must receive timely agriculture-related information to reduce crop losses and enhance productivity. We are consistently taking appropriate steps to achieve this.”
Odisha is a leading state in utilizing digital technology for the development of agriculture. Principal Secretary of the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, expressed that the use of such technology is paving the way for transforming a larger number of farmers into prosperous ones, positioning Odisha at the forefront of this progress.
AMNEX has previously provided technical support for initiatives like AgriStack-Digital Crop Survey and Farmers’ Registry under the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department. Additionally, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Agriculture, the organization is offering technical assistance for 33 crops.
The meeting was attended by Director of Agriculture Shubham Saxena, Director of Horticulture Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, and AMNEX representatives Parijat Kumar Das, Nitish Thakkar, Jayendra Puwar, and Anand Parija, among others.
