Bhubaneswar: Nandankanan Zoological Park has announced the arrival of 11 new yellow anaconda hatchlings, adding to the park’s growing reptile collection.
This comes after seven anaconda hatchlings were born on June 29, bringing the total number of yellow anacondas at the park to 25, according to zoo sources.
The newborn anacondas are reported to be healthy and thriving under the care of the park’s staff.
Yellow anacondas (Eunectes notaeus), though non-venomous, are among the largest snake species in the world and are native to South America. The successful breeding of these snakes in captivity is considered a noteworthy achievement in herpetological circles.
