Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved an amendment to the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level or Equivalent Recruitment Examination for Specialist Posts or Services Rules, 2022, paving the way for the inclusion of an additional post under its recruitment framework.
Previously, 11 specialist posts were listed under Schedule-I of the 2022 Rules. With the latest amendment, the post of Junior Forensic Attendant under the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) of the Home Department has now been added to the schedule.
The inclusion has been made under the provisions of Rule-3 of the 2022 Rules, enabling the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) to conduct a combined recruitment examination for all 12 posts. Officials said the decision will streamline recruitment, strengthen staffing in forensic services, and improve efficiency in filling specialist positions requiring higher secondary qualifications.
The proposal was among the key agenda items approved during the 31st meeting of the Odisha Cabinet held at Lok Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
