Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik marked the party’s 29th Foundation Day with an inspiring message on social media, emphasising the party’s role in empowering Odisha and its commitment to public service.
In a post on X, Patnaik highlighted the party’s consistent focus on Odisha’s progress.
He further called on party members and supporters to renew their pledge on this ‘glorious 29th Foundation Day’, urging everyone to move forward with the mantra of service, self-respect, and struggle.
“By becoming the voice of the people, BJD is strengthening Odisha’s power. BJD is always steadfast in Odisha’s development. Inspired by Biju Babu’s ideals and with the dedication of lakhs of workers, BJD has become the country’s best regional party. On the occasion of the party’s glorious 29th Foundation Day, let all of us resolve to move forward with the mantra of service, self-respect, and struggle,” his post read.
It is pertinent to mention that the Biju Janata Dal was founded on December 26, 1997, by Naveen Patnaik in memory of his father, the legendary leader Biju Patnaik.
The party, now in opposition after ruling Odisha for over two decades until 2024, is celebrating the occasion across the state with various programmes aimed at grassroots reconnection.
