Bhubaneswar: With New Year’s Eve celebrations around the corner, the Commissionerate Police has made tight security arrangements to ensure a safe and enjoyable night for revellers. Police Commissioner Suresh Devdutt Singh reviewed the preparations, emphasising the importance of public safety.
“15 platoons of police force will be deployed for security, with a focus on traffic management, security systems, and standby teams,” Singh said. All police officers have been instructed to monitor their areas closely.
The fire brigade has completed its inspection, and bar and restaurant owners have been directed to implement comprehensive security measures. “Drunk drivers will be kept under control,” Singh warned.
The Commissionerate Police is prioritising women’s safety and has instructed organisers to adhere to stipulated time limits for events.
