Cuttack: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a man on Sunday morning in the Cuttack district. The incident occurred in front of the Jayamangala Panchayat office.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Behera, a resident of Ghoradia village.
According to preliminary reports, Behera was on his way to work when a sand-laden truck hit him. The impact of the collision proved fatal, and he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Police have registered a case and have launched an investigation into the exact circumstances leading to the collision.
The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem examination by the police.
