Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched “Pragati Prabha”, the official mouthpiece of the Odisha government, published by the Department of Information and Public Relations (I&PR).
The launch event was held at the Chief Minister’s residence-cum-office. Speaking on the occasion, CM Majhi emphasized the government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare, saying today’s farmers are realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The inaugural issue features the inspiring story of Hrudananda Bisi, a successful young farmer from Jharsuguda district, who chose farming over corporate jobs. Bisi, with degrees in B.Sc (Physics), MBA, and Mechanical Engineering, has transformed himself into a ‘lakhpati farmer’ using modern techniques like drip irrigation and mulching.
The Chief Minister directed the Jharsuguda District Collector to extend all possible assistance to Bisi, particularly for developing cold-chain and agriculture-related infrastructure. He also advised Bisoi to leverage various beneficiary schemes like the Chief Minister’s Krishi Udyog Yojana, PM-KISAN, and the state’s CM-KISAN initiative to expand his agricultural ventures.
On this occasion, Chief Minister’s Advisor Prakash Mishra, former MLA Nauri Naik, Director of Information and Public Relations Department Anuj Kumar Das Patnaik, Jharsuguda Information and Public Relations Officer Krushnakeshi Baliarsingh and officers of the Information and Public Relations Department were present.
