Bhubaneswar: Two truck drivers died on the spot after a speeding container truck ran over them near Khajuripada on National Highway-26, close to Kesinga in Balangir, on Wednesday.
The deceased are yet to be identified. The container truck driver, however, fled the scene after the accident.
According to reports, the two drivers had parked their truck carrying paddy on the roadside and were unloading paddy when the container hit them and dragged them. Their mutilated bodies were found lying on the highway.
Upon being informed, Kesinga police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
The incident triggered tension among locals who gathered at the accident site.
