Bhubaneswar: A high-level review meeting on the progress of the ongoing Hi-Tech Survey and Settlement operations in Subarnapur district was held at Lok Seva Bhawan today under the chairmanship of Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
During the meeting, the implementation status of decisions taken in previous review meetings and the current progress of the Hi-Tech Survey work in the district were comprehensively reviewed. Dr. Padhee directed all concerned officials to ensure the completion of the Hi-Tech Survey and Settlement operations within the stipulated timeline. Emphasising regular monitoring, inter-departmental coordination, and expeditious field-level execution, he called upon all stakeholders to establish Subarnapur as a model district in the State in the field of Hi-Tech Survey and Settlement.
It was informed during the meeting that the Record of Rights (RoR) of 93 villages, where final publication has been completed, have been uploaded to the Bhulekh Portal and land titles have been distributed among the concerned landowners.
Further, out of the remaining 69 villages pending ULPIN generation after final publication, the ULPIN generation process has been completed in 10 villages. Following the completion of the RoR re-verification process at the tahasil level, ULPINs for the remaining villages will be generated, uploaded to the Bhulekh Portal, and land titles will be distributed to the respective landowners.
Reviewing the progress of the Hi-Tech Survey work, officials informed that, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed with M/s IIC Technologies, the required manpower was deployed from June 8, and field-level work commenced at the tahasil level from June 15. At present, survey engineers and data entry operators are actively engaged in Sonpur, Birmaharajpur, and Ulunda tahasils. To accelerate the pace of work, additional manpower will be deployed in the remaining three tahasils from June 22.
It was further informed that out of a total of 954 villages notified for Hi-Tech Survey and Settlement in Subarnapur district, the final publication of land records and maps has been completed in 608 villages. Draft publication of land records has been completed in 834 villages, while Land Parcel Map (LPM) distribution has been completed in 899 villages.
During the meeting, a month-wise action plan for the completion of the remaining work between June and November this year was presented. In accordance with the proposed roadmap, Dr. Padhee issued firm instructions to ensure the completion of the final publication of maps and land records in the remaining 346 villages within the prescribed timeframe.
The meeting was attended by the Director and Additional Director of the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys (DLRS), along with senior officers of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Through virtual mode, Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, RDC (Northern Division), and Nruparaj Sahu, Collector and District Magistrate, Subarnapur, along with other district-level officials, also participated in the review.
