Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has postponed the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 from June 28 to July 5, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the BSE, the examination will now be held on Sunday, July 5. Paper-I will be conducted from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, while Paper-II will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

The board has, however, made it clear that candidates who have already downloaded their admit cards for the earlier date do not need to download them again.

As per the schedule, the OTET and the recruitment exams for RI, ARI and Amin positions were both set to be held on June 28. This overlap had left aspirants in a state of confusion and dilemma.

The new date is expected to ensure smooth conduct of all examinations and provide aspirants with adequate preparation time.
