Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance Department on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches at four locations linked to Dhanurdhar Biswal, Establishment Officer-cum-Office Superintendent at VIMSAR, Burla, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
Acting on a complaint, Vigilance teams led by two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), five Inspectors, three Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff carried out the raids this morning after obtaining search warrants from the Special Vigilance Judge, Sambalpur.
The searches are being conducted at the following four places in Sambalpur district:
- Residential double-storeyed building of Biswal at Dhankauda in Sambalpur.
- One building at Gudesinga, Sambalpur.
- Government quarter at Medical Staff Colony, VIMSAR, Burla.
- Office chamber of Biswal at the Superintendent’s Office, VIMSAR, Burla.
Till the last report came in, searches are currently underway. Further details regarding the recovery of assets and other findings are awaited.
