Bhubaneswar: Lakhs of devotees are eagerly waiting in Puri for the much-awaited Nabajoubana Darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, who will appear in their youthful splendour for the first time after the 15-day Anasara period.
According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the sacred darshan will be held in two phases. Parimanik (ticketed) Darshan will take place from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, followed by general public Darshan from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The darshan will commence after the completion of Mangala Alati and Abakasha Niti.
This Nabajoubana Darshan holds immense religious significance as it marks the deities’ recovery from their symbolic illness during the Anasara period. Due to the large number of rituals, the darshan window has been kept limited to only two hours in the afternoon.
To ensure smooth and orderly darshan amid the massive crowd, the temple administration has made elaborate arrangements. Common devotees will enter through the Singhadwara (Lion’s Gate), while invitees for Parimanik Darshan will be allowed entry through the Dakshina Dwara (Southern Gate).Tight security arrangements have been put in place for the event.
Police personnel, temple administration officials, and servitors are working in close coordination to manage the crowd and ensure the safety of devotees. Police forces have been deployed at strategic points on the Grand Road (Bada Danda), while extensive CCTV surveillance is being used for real-time monitoring and traffic management.
The Nabajouban Darshan is considered one of the most spiritually significant events ahead of the grand Rath Yatra. The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration is making every possible effort to provide a hassle-free and memorable darshan experience to all devotees.
