Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a strong advisory for fishermen along the Odisha coast in view of expected rough sea conditions over the next three days.
According to the forecast, squally weather with wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph and gusting up to 60 kmph is very likely to prevail along and off the Odisha coast from August 12 to 14. During this period, the sea condition is expected to remain rough to very rough. In view of the adverse weather, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along and off the Odisha coast from August 12 to 14.
The IMD has urged the fishing community to strictly follow the advisory to ensure their safety.
