Bhubaneswar: A young man has gone missing after he slipped and fell while taking a selfie at a waterfall in Odisha’s Rayagada district.
As per reports, the incident took place at Tayangiri waterfall in Kashipur block. The missing youth has been identified Joka Bisoi, son of Chenka Bisoi of Jereka village under Godibali panchayat.
According to available information, the youth had gone out with four or five friends on Thursday afternoon around 5 pm. While posing for a selfie at the waterfall, he lost his footing and fell. His friends conducted an extensive search but were unable to locate him.
Upon being informed by the youth’s family, Kashipur police station in-charge and the fire service launched a search operation for him. As it is a remote and inaccessible border area, and due to excessive darkness, further searching was not possible.
Kashipur police station officer-in-charge Dhiren Pattanaik has stated that efforts will be made to search for the youth with the assistance of the fire department.
