Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for fishermen advising them not to venture into the sea along and off the Odisha coast till September 1.
According to the advisory, squally weather with wind speeds of 40–50 kmph, occasionally gusting to 60 kmph, is very likely to prevail along and off the Odisha coast on August 31 and September 1. Sea conditions are expected to remain rough to very rough during this period.
Fishermen have been strongly advised not to venture into the sea along and off the Odisha coast till September 1. The IMD has urged fishermen and coastal communities to strictly follow the advisory for their safety.
