Bhubaneswar: Students and teachers of various private schools in Kendrapara town today marked the Netaji Birth Anniversary in an innovative way with carrying out a 1 km long tricolour in procession in the town ahead of Republic Day.
The procession aimed at spreading awareness among people and schoolgoers about the India’s freedom struggle started journey from Baladev Jew temple and covered the entire town. Later, a cultural proramme was organised at a private school in the presence of scores of students, teachers, intellectuals, and public.
People on the road were seen showering flowers on the procession while some were found giving patriotic slogans. Students dressed up in various freedom fighters also performed during the procession.
The march went through the main road of the town, and enthusiastic motorists and passersby shot videos of the procession, spreading the message of patriotism.
Youths also joined the march and were seen taking selfie. The mega rally received an overwhelming response from various sections in the town.
