Kendrapara: Three persons were killed on the spot, while four were injured after the Bolero they were travelling by crashed against a roadside tree near Ostapur petrol pump under Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on Monday morning.
While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, all the deceased are women stage artistes.
According to reports, seven persons, including five stage artistes, were returning to Kendrapara after a rehearsal. As the vehicle approached the Ostapur petrol pump, the driver lost control of the wheel and it crashed against a roadside tree.
Dr. Debasish Sahoo, the pediatric specialist at Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), told reporters that three people sustained critical head injuries in the accident and have been referred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Another patient has been admitted to the Kendrapara DHH.
