Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday met with the Indian Army official, his fiancée and her father at Loka Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar to address an alleged police brutality case.
During the meeting, Majhi assured them of an impartial investigation and promised strict action against those found guilty.
As per reports, the CM held a meeting with the trio in the presence of Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Deputy CM KV Singh Deo and Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.
Following the discussion, the Army Major’s fiancée expressed her gratitude, praising Majhi as a people’s Chief Minister and a people’s man.
Meanwhile, The Orissa High Court on Monday issued a directive prohibiting the publication of names of the Army official and his fiancée through electronic, print, or social media in the Bharatpur police station assault case.
