Bengal Horror: Odisha Guv Receives Memorandum From Women Delegation, Assures To Send It ToWB Counterpart

Bhubaneswar: A delegation of women from Odisha submitted a memorandum to Governor Raghubar Das on Friday, condemning the rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

Governor Das assured the group that he would forward the memorandum to West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, demanding strict action and a timely investigation into the incident.

“The entire country is outraged by the negligence of the hospital administration and local authorities in this heinous incident,” Governor Das said. “I will ensure that the memorandum is sent to Governor Bose, and a swift decision is taken on the matter.”

The delegation, which aims to raise awareness about citizen rights and duties, expressed their distress and anger over the incident, prompting the Governor’s assurance of action.
