Keonjhar: Bike-borne masked miscreants in broad daylight on Friday allegedly looted gold ornaments from a couple at gunpoint on National Highway no. 20 near Biragobindapur under Ghasipura police limits in Keonjhar district.
According to reports, Nigam Prasad Sahu and his wife were going to Belabahali from Harichandanpur riding a scooter. Three bike-borne miscreants chased the couple near Biragobindapur and hit the scooter. To scare the couple the miscreants pulled out a gun and fired three rounds in the air. Later at gunpoint the miscreants allegedly snatched a gold necklace, a mangalsutra and earrings from Sahu’s wife.
On being informed Ghasipura police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the matter.
