Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a biker lost his life and his pillion rider was severely injured while returning home from Deomali in Koraput district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Chandrasekhar Soura, a resident of Kenduguda village in the district.
According to reports, Chandrasekhar and his friends had travelled to Deomali and were on their way home when a truck collided with their bike. Unfortunately, Chandrasekhar died at the scene, while his friend sustained serious injuries. The injured person was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.
On being informed, the police arrived at the scene, sent the deceased’s body for post-mortem and are now conducting an investigation into the accident.
