Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has constituted a State Level Monitoring Team in response to the Election Commission of India’s decision to launch the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in Odisha from July 1, 2026.The team comprises senior BJD leaders including Pramila Mallik, Niranjan Pujari, Pratap Jena, Dr Sasmit Patra, Bhrugu Baxipatra, and Bijay Nayak.
The primary responsibility of this high-powered team will be to monitor and supervise the appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) in all Assembly Constituencies, along with their training, capacity building, and other related activities.
The State Level Monitoring Team has been directed to immediately review the status of BLA appointments and training across all constituencies and submit weekly progress reports directly to the BJD President.
This order has come into force with immediate effect.
