He highlighted that, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Odisha became the first state in the country to introduce Sishu Vatika (pre-primary sections) in all government primary schools starting from the previous academic year.
“Sishu Vatika has transformed into a joyful school for our young children—a place filled with happiness, learning, and the promise of a bright future,” CM Majhi said. Additionally, the state is intensifying efforts under the “Aasa School Jiba” (Let us go to school) campaign to bring back children aged 5 to 18 years who are currently out of school, ensuring no child is left behind.
On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister personally appealed to all eligible guardians: “I request you to be present with your children eligible for enrollment and make their new educational journey glorious and unforgettable.”
The Prabesh Utsav events will be held in schools statewide with colourful celebrations, cultural performances, and community participation to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for the youngest learners
