Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack, in collaboration with FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter, organised an informative and interactive awareness programme on Cybercrime Prevention, Digital Safety and Traffic Consciousness, exclusively for members of FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter.
The programme aimed at empowering women with practical knowledge to protect themselves, their families and businesses from the growing threats of cybercrime, while also creating greater awareness about responsible road behaviour and traffic safety.
The sessions were addressed by Swaraj Debta, Additional DCP, IT & Social Media Cell; Akshya Kumar Nayak, ACP, IT & Social Media Cell; and Sambit Kumar Majhi, Additional DCP, Traffic, who shared valuable insights on emerging cyber threats, online frauds, preventive measures, cyber safety practices and traffic awareness. The interactive format gave members an opportunity to raise their concerns and seek guidance directly from senior police officials.
FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter Chairperson Biyot Projna Tripathy, along with members of the Executive Committee and FLO members, attended the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Tripathy emphasised the importance of creating a stronger connection between women and law-enforcement agencies, particularly as women’s lives, businesses and financial activities become increasingly connected to the digital world.
The initiative was jointly undertaken by FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter and the Commissionerate Police, reflecting their shared commitment towards creating a safer and more informed society.
Alee Padhy, Digital Literacy Initiative Head, FICCI FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter, along with her team, was instrumental in coordinating the programme and making the session educational, engaging and highly interactive.
The programme reaffirmed the importance of awareness, vigilance and collaboration between citizens and the police in building a safer digital and physical environment for women and the wider community.
