Bhubaneswar: Another woman, who was fighting for life at SCB Medical College and Hospital after sustaining severe burns in firecracker explosion in Mahajanpur village in Cuttack on Thursday evening, succumbed to burns at SCB.
The blast, which occurred while firecrackers were being stored at a residence in Mahajanpur village, claimed the lives of a mother and her three-year-old daughter instantly on Thursday. The third victim, also a woman, succumbed to burns while undergoing treatment at SCB.
The victims are identified as the wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter of Govind Nayak.
The explosion also damaged two houses in the area.
