Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister KV Singh Deo today launched a state-level oil palm plantation campaign in Dhanpur village under Betonati block in Mayurbhanj district in his two-day tour to the district.

The program of oil palm cultivation is continuing with the support of 11 palm oil companies. All 11 oil companies exhibited their products on the occasion.

For the promotion and propagation of the cultivation, the farmers are given incentives under the National Edible Oil Mission Scheme by the Central Government.

Another 3,000 farmers from all the blocks in Mayurbhanj district will benefit from this large-scale oil palm plantation campaign. In this palm oil cultivation mission of the central government, which has been started in 20 districts in the State, farmers will be economically prosperous, said Singh Deo.
