Koraput: In a horrific incident, a man smashed the head of his wife with stone and iron rodin Upper Ghatguda village under Pattangi police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Shil Khara (55).
According to reports, in a fit of rage, Bangru Khara (60) smashed Shil’s head with stones and iron rod following a family feud on Sunday. Hearing Shil’s cries for help, local villagers rushed to their house and nabbed Bangru. Shil, however, breathed her last at the spot.
Later, the villagers informed the police about the gruesome incident and on the arrival of cops from Pattangi police station, they handed over Bangru to them. The police have detained Bangru for interrogation.
