Former Odisha Governor M M Rajendran Passes Away At 88

Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Governor M M Rajendran passed away today. He breathed his last at the age of 88 in a private hospital in Chennai.

His wife Sushila Rajendran, two sons, and his lone daughter were present at his bedside at the time of his demise.

A 1957 batch IAS topper and former Chief Secretary of Tamilnadu Rajendran took charge as the Governor of Odisha in 1999. He used his administrative experience at the time of disaster.

In July last he had presented a copy of his autobiography to President Droupadi Murmu.

Rajendran shall be remembered for ever for his relations with three Chief Ministers during his tenure as Governor.

Incumbent Governor of Odisha Raghubar Das has condoled Rajendran’s death and has expressed his deep sympathies to the bereaved family.
