Bhubaneswar: Former Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) Sandhyabati Pradhan resigned from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday.
Pradhan has sent her resignation to BJD president Naveen Patnaik. She has alleged that their voices are not reaching the BJD president since he is surrounded by a coterie.
Pradhan, a native of Muninda under Delang block in Puri district was earlier a member of the Puri Zilla Parishad and was later vice president of Zilla Parishad. She had also served as a member of the District Planning Committee.
