Bhubaneswar: Celebrated chef and author Vikas Khanna took to social media to share a deeply spiritual experience on the occasion of Rath Yatra, one of the most sacred festivals celebrated in Odisha and across the country.
Reflecting on the significance of the day, Khanna expressed his sense of divine connection with Lord Jagannath. In a heartfelt note, he revealed that even though he couldn’t physically travel to Puri this year, he felt an overwhelming spiritual presence.
Taking to his Instagram handle, the celebrity chef posted a video from the celebrations and wrote: “As we prepare to unveil our humble chariot on the 17th, we are deeply honored to receive a sacred flag from the Jagannath Temple in Puri, lovingly brought by a devotee to be placed at our entrance today. Our heartfelt gratitude to this incredible community coming together to celebrate this sacred occasion. With flowers flown in from Puri, traditional decorations, and the distribution of Kanika Bhaat, we hope to share the spirit, devotion, and joy of Rath Yatra with every guest who walks through our doors.
He further wrote: “We are deeply honored and excited that tomorrow, July 17th, we will unveil our small, humble chariot, created with love and devotion in honor of Lord Jagannath. Rath Yatra is a celebration of faith, compassion, and the belief that the Divine comes out to meet everyone, reminding us that no one is beyond grace, love, or blessings. It is one of the world’s most beautiful expressions of unity, where every soul is welcomed with open arms.We look forward to welcoming you tomorrow as we celebrate this sacred tradition together through devotional dances, the distribution of Kanika Bhaat, and gifts of the iconic Sambalpuri scarves, a tribute to the rich artistry and heritage of Odisha.
