Berhampur: A violent clash broke out between two groups of youths at ODRP Colony under Rambha police limits in Ganjam district on the eve of New Year, leaving four people seriously injured.
As per reports, on the intervening night of New Year, a clash ensued between some youths residing in a rented house in Odia Colony of Gandapalli, and some other youths over a past rivalry, resulting in firing.
The altercation began as a result of a prior dispute over a love affair, with both groups exchanging blows and firing shots. The injured individuals were initially rushed to the Khallikote Hospital and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.
Rambha police have launched an investigation into the incident to arrest the absconding accused who opened fire.
