Bhubaneswar: Heatwave continues to singe Odisha as the day temperatures (maximum temperatures) reached 35°C or more in 11 places in the state by 11.30 am on Monday. Balasore was the hottest place in the state at 40.4°C before noon and Bhubaneswar came a close second recording 39.8°C during the period.

- Keonjhar: 37.6°C
- Gopalpur: 36.6°C

- Puri: 34.8°C
- Hirakud: 34.8°C
- Rourkela: 34.4°C
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by rain in 14 districts in Odisha today.
