IMD Warns Of Rain, Thunderstorm With Lightning In 8 Odisha Dists During Next 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning likely to affect some parts of districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri,  Koraput, Cuttack, Angul and  Dhenkanal during the next three hours according to a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 5.45 PM today.

The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for the aforementioned districts.

The weather agency has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
