Kataka: The Kataka Urban Police District (UPD) of Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Kataka conducted intensive enforcement drives on 30 August, resulting in the detection of eight drunken drivers and verification of 183 vehicles.
According to the official enforcement report released by DCP Kataka, fines amounting to Rs 1,95,000 were imposed, while an additional Rs 21,000 was collected under the Odisha Urban Police Act (OUP Act).Besides, four persons were booked under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), one excise case was registered, and one Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) was executed during the drive.
