Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a low-pressure area over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around November 26.
“A Cyclonic Circulation is likely to emerge over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around November 25. Under its influence, a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around 26th November,” IMD bulletin stated.
The system is likely to move west northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining Andaman Sea around November 27.
The Trough in easterly at mean sea level over Comorin area to West-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
Light to moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam and Khurda of coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada and Koraput of South Interior Odisha.
Dense fog has occurred at Bhawanipatna and Phulbani of South Interior Odisha.
The Met department forecasted light to moderate rain and thundershower at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam on November 23.
Light to moderate rain and thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati, IMD said. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha on November 24.
A similar situation will prevail over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi on November 25.
