Massive 286-KG Golden Bow And Arrow Embarks On Sacred Journey To Ayodhya

Bhubaneswar: A grand procession carrying a majestic 286kg golden bow and arrow, crafted from a blend of gold, silver, iron, copper, and brass, has set off from Puri Srimandir to Ayodhya, captivating devotees across Odisha.

According to reports, the 8-foot-long artefact, measuring about 2.5 to 3 feet in height, was taken around the Srimandir on Monday, drawing large crowds of devotees and servitors who gathered to witness the sacred rituals.

As the bow and arrow began its journey from Rourkela, it has travelled through several parts of Odisha, with devotees thronging to catch a glimpse of the sacred artefact at every halt. The procession is a celebration of faith, reinforcing the spiritual bond between Odisha and Ayodhya, and is expected to deepen the emotional connection between the people of Odisha and Ayodhya.

The event showcases the state’s rich legacy of ritual craftsmanship, highlighting the skill and devotion of local artisans who crafted the golden bow and arrow. The procession is also a testament to the enduring cultural ties between Odisha and Ayodhya, with devotees from across the state participating in the celebrations.
