Balasore: Marriages are sealed by God in heaven. This age-old adage is proved in the lives of two disabled young individuals of Dagara village under Baliapal block in Balaore district.
In a beautiful display of love and acceptance, the young Divyang couple, Satyaprakash and Laxmipriya, tied the nuptial knot recently in a traditional Hindu ceremony at the Baba Rameshwar Shiva Temple at Dagara village.
The couple, both born with disabilities, exchanged vows and began their new life together amid a massive congregation of friends, family, and well-wishers.
Satyaprakash, who has a problem with the spinal cord since birth, and Laxmipriya, who was born without one hand, have never imagined a world of conjugal life. The couple’s families were also concerned about their future lives.
Both the families met and discussed and vowed to get them married. Satyaprakash, Laxmi also gave their consent and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Despite the challenges they face, the couple is determined to build a happy life together.
Their wedding ceremony was a poignant reminder that love knows no bounds, and the newly-wed couple can find happiness together, regardless of their physical abilities.
The couple’s families and villagers have welcomed their union and showered them with blessings and good wishes. As they begin their new chapter of life together, Satyaprakash and Laxmipriya turned an inspiration to all, proving that love and acceptance can conquer all.
