Odisha Sizzles: Mercury Soars To 40.6°C In Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur town in Odisha recorded the highest temperature today, soaring to 40.6°C.

This was informed by weather scientist Umasankar Das on his social media account X (formerly Twitter).

According to Das, Hirakud followed with 39.1°C, Jharsuguda recorded 38.8°C, and the state capital Bhubaneswar registered 38°C.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has urged people to take necessary precautions, especially during peak afternoon hours. People are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and limit outdoor activities.
