Cuttack: A tragic accident on the Nuabazar Gosahala over bridge in Cuttack city on Wednesday claimed the life of a man and left a woman critically injured.
The incident occurred when a truck collided with the scooter on which the two were traveling.
According to reports, the man, who was riding the scooter, died on the spot, while the woman, who was the pillion rider, sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to SCB Medical College & Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver, who attempted to flee the scene, was apprehended by Madhupatna police.
