Bhubaneswar: Singhadwar police have arrested a person in connection with circulation of forged appointment letters for Jagannath Temple Squad posts.
The accused has been identified as Biprasen Bhoi (46), a resident of Balanga area in Puri district. He was taken into custody after the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) lodged a complaint at Singhadwar police station.
Earlier, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) had earlier declared as fake the appointment letters for ‘Jagannath Temple Squad’ posts circulating on social media, clarifying that no such recruitment had taken place.
The forged letters, carrying the apparent official letterhead, seal and signature of Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, claimed appointments under the Home Department. One such letter was addressed to Swasti Pritam Paikar of Jamarasuan under Gadamrigashira.
