Titilagarh: A fire broke out in a house in the Padmanabhapur area of Titilagarh town in Bolangir district around 1 PM on Thursday, destroying property estimated to be worth several lakhs of rupees.
According to fire service officials, the blaze originated at the residence of one Santosh Sahu due to a short circuit. The fire quickly turned intense, prompting a response from two fire tenders. Crews struggled for nearly two hours to bring the flames under control.
No casualties have been reported. However, the incident caused complete destruction of household goods and other valuables inside the property, with losses running into lakhs of rupees.
Further investigation is underway.
