Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will disburse the fifth instalment of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana on Rakhi Purnima (August 28). Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Friday directed officials to complete all pending verification and beneficiary validation processes by July 25 to ensure timely payments.
Reviewing the implementation of the flagship women’s welfare scheme, Parida said the state has received 3,17,966 fresh applications during the 2026–27 financial year. The meeting assessed the progress of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), e-KYC, field verification, NPCI mapping, payment file generation, bank account linking, and other related processes.
The Deputy Chief Minister said officials have been instructed to activate DBT for 82,036 beneficiaries and expedite biometric authentication and e-KYC for 28,611 applicants. She also directed officials to prioritise the field verification of 3,53,059 pending applications.
To ensure the verification process is completed within the stipulated deadline, block-level teams headed by the respective Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Block Subhadra Committees have been tasked with conducting field enquiries. Their reports will be submitted to district-level committees headed by the respective district collectors before being forwarded to the Women and Child Development Department for final processing.
Parida stressed that all pending work must be completed by July 25 so that eligible beneficiaries receive the fifth instalment without delay on Rakhi Purnima.
She also appealed to beneficiaries whose application status on the Subhadra portal shows “Non-Biometric e-KYC Pending” to complete the verification process at the earliest. According to the government, around 28,621 beneficiaries, mainly those outside the National Food Security Act (NFSA) coverage, have yet to complete the mandatory e-KYC.
“I request beneficiaries whose status on the Subhadra portal shows ‘Non-Biometric e-KYC Pending’ to visit their nearest Mo Seva Kendra or Jana Seva Kendra and complete the process at the earliest,” Parida said.
