Bhubaneswar: Famous dahibara vendor from Cuttack Raghunath Sasmal, popularly known as Raghu Mousa passed away at the age of 94. He was instrumental in making Cuttack’s dahibara aludum famous and was a household name in the city.
Raghu Mousa had been in the dahibara business for over 60 years, starting from the age of 15 in 1950. His unique style of preparing dahibara and serving it in fresh sala leaves (a type of leaf) made his stall a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Raghu Mousa’s dedication earned him a special place in the hearts of Cuttack’s residents. Despite his advanced age, he continued to serve his customers with the same enthusiasm and passion that he had when he first started.
He was suffering from oldage related ailment and was being treated at his home.
Raghu Mousa’s passing has left a void in the city’s culinary scene in Odisha and he will be deeply missed by his customers.
