Bhubaneswar: Moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 30- 40 kmph, and intense spell of rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Puri, Khordha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Sundargarh, Subarnapur, Boudha, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri within next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the meteorological centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 3.30 PM.
The IMD has issued an ‘Orange’ warning for the abovementioned districts.
While water logging in low-lying areas is likely, The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes, movement may be avoided in the water logging area.
