Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in three districts of Odisha within two hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 12:20 pm by the IMD, thunderstorm with lightning, light to moderate rainfall, and wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Kandhamal, and Ganjam districts during the next two hours.
The IMD has advised people in these districts to remain alert and closely monitor the weather.
Citizens have been urged to move to safer locations if conditions worsen to protect themselves from thunderstorm, lightning strikes, and strong winds.
