Malkangiri: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed after the motorcycle they were riding crashed against a stationary truck at Pangam Street under Mathil police limits in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as Sunil Chowdhury (a policeman) and Rajesh Bhuiyan of Pangam village.
According to reports, both the victims had been to Mathilde and while returning the bike rider lost his balance and crashed against a stationary truck at the dhaba near Pangam Chhak.
Hearing the sound of the crash, locals rushed to the spot, rescued the two profusely bleeding bike riders, and took them to the Mathil Sub-district Hospital. However, the doctors at the hospital declared them brought dead.
On being informed, Mathil police reached the accident spot and launched an investigation into the accident. Meanwhile, the bodies of the two victims were sent for postmortem.
