Two Women Injured In Bear Attack In Deogarh

Deogarh: As many as two women were injured after being attacked by a bear at Chhuali ghat under the Laimura forest section in Deogarh district, on Tuesday.

The injured women have been identified as Bari Kisan (57) and Janani Kisan (27), residents of Laimura village. Bari and Janani had gone to collect mahula flowers in a nearby forest when they were attacked by the bear.

Locals rescued the injured women and rushed them to Laimura Hospital, where they received primary treatment. Bari Kisan was later referred to Kuchinda Hospital for further treatment.

Upon being informed, Forest Department officials have reached the spot and are monitoring the movement of the bear.
