Bhubaneswar: The VIMSAR (Veer Surendra Sai Institute Of Medical Science And Research) authorities today observed the 21st Day ritual of the infant girl who was rescued from the abandoned bore well in Rengali in Sambalpur district.
The doctors, nurses and other medical staff attended the celebration and ‘Namkaran Utsav, naming her as ‘Bijayini’.
The event was marked by cake cutting and sweets distribution.
The baby girl is currently undergoing treatment in SNCU of VIMSAR. Her 21st Day was celebrated today by the hospital officials.
The new-born was thrown inside the abandoned bore well at Laripalli village. After six-hour long operation by the fire service personnel, ODRAF and NDRF, the infant was rescued alive. She was immediately admitted to VIMSAR for treatment.
Doctors and staff expressed happiness by celebrating the event at the hospital. All the staff also extended best wishes to the newborn and offered prayers for her wellbeing.
